Winning Design Revealed: Abbie Hopper
Abbie Hopper's Winning Design: you are thriving.
Abbie says:
“For this design, I wanted to create something that would be light-hearted but also get across a message of empowerment and positivity. It came from the idea that you don’t just survive, you thrive! This felt very relevant for not only our key workers but for anyone that could do with a boost of positivity right now.
The flower illustration helps to symbolise the idea of thriving, and combined with the type it creates a fun design that I hope anyone can wear to feel a bit more uplifted!”

When it comes to presentation Amala Andrews did an absolutely stunning job. Whilst sharing the story of her mother who is a nurse and key-worker, which is mainly what inspired her designs, along with the other key-workers including teachers and the fire service.
Through her presentation, she took us along a journey of where the ideas initially came from, how she pressed flowers from her own garden to the designs she did and didn't like and landing on the final subject which is shown above.
